i take it all back...
After my coffee post last night I headed over to the neighbor, Graciella's, for her birthday feast! Now I feel like a spoiled brat. : )
Along with a neverending supply of red wine straight from the jug and a beer selection including Palermo, Brahma, and Budweiser (for the Americans : ) we were treated to traditional empanadas (pork and chicken made by her ancient looking, incredibly adorable father), chocolate cake (Argentinian chocolate and I'm pretty sure there was a dulce de leche filling or something amazing was in there) and homemade limoncello!!! As much as I miss my coffee in big, bottomless, cups, I would trade it again in a heartbeat for what I experienced yesterday.
Graciella is the sweetest woman, has been helping Tal and I immensely with our spanish and has a beautiful family. Her parents are super old and cute, both with attitudes they are not shy to share and I absolutely LOVE it when the elders are the most intent on getting drunk at a party! I got like 50% of the conversation (pretty good for me at the moment!) and had 3 peices of cake right before bed. : )
Sweet dreams for me!
Anyhoo, Tal is waiting for me with a box of wine and a deck of cards outside so I should run! Ciao!
